Go swimming.

As we enter a period where we are supposed to practice social distancing, I take comfort in the act of swimming, surrounded by chlorinated water ready to dilute germs from others swimming with me.

Whether true or not, it feels like a safe space to interact with other humans while getting a great workout with a coach, pushing me harder than I would push myself.

I suppose tri in general is a good sport these days. Very individual. Outdoors if the weather cooperates. Seems healthier than basketball – a cramped, indoor environment, with everyone touching the same object along with their bodily fluids.

So why not get out for a swim? It will probably feel amazing!
