Life with Google maps.

Using a map is a useful skill.

With the prevalence of maps on our phones telling us where to turn, any map skills we had can become rusty. Even if we use the map to get somewhere, the GPS tells us where we are, which I think is the hardest part of map reading.

Another good reason to spend time hiking in the woods somewhere that requires map reading. Or to force ourselves to use a real map to get around once in awhile.

Or maybe it’s no longer a useful skill if you’re connected to GPS??
