Remembering to race your own race.

Neing oneself around thousands of other uptight athletes!

For an Ironman, thousands of people descend on a town. You see them in the airport with all the Ironman gear and the bikes. You see them at the grocery store and spy on what their buying. You see them running or biking around town at all hours. It is difficult- at least for me- not to constantly compare. It doesn’t help that I don’t look like most of them.

But I’m learning. It’s a good exercise and life lesson to just breathe, trust the work, and enjoy my own race week!

Yes… I just got to the race town! As an update from yesterday my suitcase has been found and hopefully will be in the same town as me soon!
