Self-perception

I recently ran a race at a much faster speed than I thought I could go. I was feeling great and imagining that I must look great too. Maybe not really, but do you ever think that in your head you look great but to the outside probably not?

In this case I realized that would look at others near me going a similar pace and their feet were moving rather slowly. I felt like I was moving my feet very quickly! But watching them I realized how slow my feet must really be moving! It was good motivation to pick up the pace! And I realized, again, why it would be good for me to start running with others!
